Exposing Salesforce as a Web Service

Exposing allows an external application to invoke an Apex Web service to perform an action in Salesforce and consume the Sale. This makes it possible for common business processes like CRM, Workflows, etc. to be exposed directly from external applications that do not even have a native sync with Salesforce.
